khukhune United Football Club Defender Edwin Gyimah was among the 2023 PSL Awards nominees.
The list of nominees was announced on Thursday by The League ahead of the closing weekend of the 2023 DStv Premiership campaign,
Babina Noko Defender Gyimah made the shortlist for The Nedbank player of the tournament alongside Miguel Timm from Orlando Pirates FC and Iqraam Rayners from Stellenbosch FC respectively.
Gyimah was nominated following his outstanding season in Babina Noko Colors, where he excelled and helped the team reach the final.
Gyimah was also chosen as the man of the match when Babina Noko was playing against Cape Town Spurs in the round of the last 16 at The New Peter Mokaba on the 10th March 2023.
All nominations and voting were done by a judging panel comprising football journalists, analysts, and commentators. A full list of the judging panel per category will be shared publicly post the PSL Awards ceremony.
The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, 28 May at 20h00.
