HEAVY-K TO HEADLINE THE NEDBANK CUP FINAL

Award-winning Afro-House DJ and producer, Heavy-K, will headline the opening ceremony of the much-anticipated 2023 Nedbank Cup final, where the two-time champions, Orlando Pirates, will go head-to-head with first-time finalist, Sekhukhune United, for their chance at glory at Loftus Versfeld on 27 May 2023.

Mkhululi Siqula, who is affectionately known as Heavy-K, is set to perform an electrifying set which will create an unprecedented vibe ahead of the final of South Africa’s leading knockout football competition.

As one of South Africa’s most celebrated DJs, his performance will undoubtedly add an extra element of excitement to the Nedbank Cup final, making it an unforgettable occasion for everyone in attendance.

Khensani Nobanda, Group Executive of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Nedbank, says: ‘Entertainment and football will come together this weekend as the curtain comes down on a memorable Nedbank Cup season. This 16th edition of the competition had all the fireworks, and we look forward to witnessing an action-packed and entertaining final as we close out the season in style. Ahead of the final match, football fans in Tshwane will get the opportunity to rub shoulders with Nedbank Cup ambassadors at the pre-match activities that will be hosted at Soshanguve Mall and Jubilee Mall on Friday, 26 May 2023 between 10:00 and 15:00. They also stand the chance of winning match tickets and merchandise.

Tickets for this blockbuster final are for sale at ticketpro.co.za or at Ticketpro outlets nationwide at R80 a ticket.

Gates will open at 14:00. We encourage fans to arrive early so that they can also enjoy the opening ceremony and all the exciting pre-match entertainment on display.

In partnership with the Sports Trust, Nedbank will hand over soccer kits to selected schools from Tshwane at halftime.
