Youth dialogue goes to Kliptown

A frank youth dialogue on HIV/AIDS is to be held in Kliptown tomorrow, Thanks to the Gauteng Health Department and the International AIDS Society (IAS) of South Africa.
According to the department this much awaited event will take place at the iconic Walter Sisulu Square in Soweto. The department also announced that the theme for this dialogue is Access, Equity and Rights.
Hundreds of young people drawn from all sectors and organisations are expected to attend, engage and define the future they want.
The Gauteng Health MEC, Qedani Mahlangu’s and a panel of experts are expected to be talking on adolescent and youth health issues.
Did you know?

• The dialogue seeks to provide a platform where young people will be able to debate issues around HIV and AIDS not only as a health issue, but broadly as it affects them socially, economically and even educationally.

• This is a prelude to the main AIDS conference to be held in Durban in 2016.

• It’s billed to assist the AIDS 2016 Secretariat in establishing what are the expectations of young people.
