MARTIN HOPES FOR IMPROVEMENT IN FINAL THIRD

AmaZulu FC head coach Pablo Franco Martin is hoping for an improvement in front of goal ahead of the team’s clash with Golden Arrows.

Usuthu have scored three times in their last five matches across all competitions including a 1-1 draw with Chippa United in a DStv Premiership clash on October 28.

However, the KwaZulu-Natal giants are undefeated in their last three competitive matches and Franco Martin feels that the team is on the right track.

“We are finding it hard to convert but the whole thing is we are competitive,” Franco Martin said.

“We are having chances, we are getting points and we are improving, which is the most important thing.

“We’re in that process and hopefully, our [upfront] players are going to improve and they are going to score the chances they are having.”

The mid-season transfer window will open in January 2024 and Franco Martin hopes that the club reinforces its striking department.

“Probably in January, we could have some signings so we can improve that capacity in the last third,” the Spanish tactician added.

“Then we can win more games and achieve objectives we are having as a club, coaching staff and part of the team.”

AmaZulu will host Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday in a Carling Knockout quarter-final clash. Kick-off is at 19h00.
