All eyes will be on Gauteng Finance MEC Jacob Mamabolo who is expected to present Gauteng’s 2022 Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) and the Adjustment Budget to Gauteng Provincial Legislature tomorrow Thursday, 24 November 2022.
According to his department, The MTBPS promotes transparency and accountability in the management of public funds because it gives insight into the priorities of government, forecasts economic trajectory and projects the fiscal framework.
A terse statement issued to the media stated
“This year’s MTBPS comes at the time when the Gauteng Provincial Government is intensifying its programme to change the living conditions of people in the townships, informal settlements, and hostels.”
