Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters held her Unbreakable workshop this week at PUSH in Eldorado Park Extension 7. The organisation Persevere Until Something Happens (PUSH) is a non-profitable organisation formed in collaboration with the Department of Social Development. The services provided by PUSH include counselling, an HIV Testing Services Drop-in Centre for orphaned and vulnerable children, an adolescents’ programme, health screening and a programme that focuses on young girls called DREAMS. From this sparked the official launch of the Choma DREAMS Café, a safe haven for the young girls, between the ages of 10 and 24. Pic by Yolanda van der Stoep.
