Well, we took it down for a good test and it passed the test with flying colours.
The 2.0 auto is unmistakably the most beautiful and capable people-mover from the VW stable.
Not only is it impressive with sharp front design but it’s stylish bumper, small grille and lighting makes it a wonder to look.
First thing to draw your eye is how spacious it is allowing free movement of all occupants making it the most practical backsliding passenger doors on both sides add to its cool appeal of a perfect camper.
On its handling, you have a comfortable cabin with a fully digital portfolio. Let me assure you that the Kombi’s good look is not the end of the story as it drives very well with the torque of 125kW paired with an eight-speed transmission. Driving alone is an experience of its own, while enjoyable on a lone drive, I suggest you fill it up with passengers and enjoy their rants about the beauty and power of the Kombi, as they did with me on our trip to Durban.
Response on the steering wheel and pedals are precise and does very well on winding roads. While big bodied, I found it to be fair on fuel when you switch to cruise mode.
Cartrends found the new Kombi to be a full house practical car with a touch of comfort.
