Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela described the 2-2 Premiership draw against Supersport United on Saturday evening as two points lost.Siphiwe Tshabalala opened the scoring at the Mbombela Stadium in the 14th minute, but Matsatsansa were soon level with former Amakhosi forward Mandla Masango finishing off a sumptuous team goal.

Tshabalala put Komphela’s side ahead for the second time, ten minutes before the break and the one goal advantage lasted until the last minute of the game; as Aubrey Modiba struck in stoppage time.

“It was really difficult, but you still have to come through [the full 90 minutes],” he said after the game.

“I thought even in the first-half we could have gone into the dressing room two, three [goals] up, but I felt as well the marking was not proper.

“I thought the energy was okay, we [just] regret the chances we didn’t take, and again lapses of concentration – there are days when we felt we could have managed better.

“We failed there and we paid the price. It shouldn’t have been 2-2, it should have been 4-2 [to Chiefs],” he added. “Two points dropped.”
