R500 000 PRIZE MONEY ENSURES TKO SIGNS OFF WITH A BANG

The phrase “time flies when you are having fun” would best describe the 2017 edition of the Telkom Knockout, which promises to give fans one last chance to win big and experience the joy of 0% heartbreak and 100% winnings.

Throughout the competition, Telkom has given supporters a great opportunity to win their share of R1 million. Now, the half-a-million grand prize that’s up for grabs will change the life of one lucky fan.

Fans have till Friday 1 December to enter the competition, by simply dialing *123# and then purchasing a bundle using a Telkom sim card. The purchased bundle will be multiplied by the combined number of goals scored in the final between Bidvest Wits and Bloemfontein Celtic at Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday 2 December.

In the semi-final round, Lebo Phakalasane, a staunch Bloemfontein Celtic supporter, was the winner of a whopping R250 000 and could hardly sleep the night he heard the life changing news.

“This is the first time I’ve won anything in my life. It seems so unreal. Thanks to Telkom, I now have an opportunity to pay for my sister’s university fees once she matriculates at the end of the year.”

The build-up to the final will begin with roadshows at Dube Village Mall on Tuesday 28 November, followed by Umlazi Mega City on Wednesday, then Thursday at Bridge City Shopping Centre and finally concluding on Friday 1 December at KwaMyandu Shopping Centre in Umlazi. Supporters will have an opportunity to meet football legends Phumudzo Manenzhe, Thabo September and Siphiwe Mkhonza. They can also stand a chance to double their bundle purchases and win tickets to the final.

Match day will be a hive of activity with 1000 Telkom t-shirts set to be given to the first 1000 fans to arrive at the stadium. For halftime, award winning kwaito star Professor will entertain the fans.

Tickets are available at TicketPro outlets which include Edgars, CNA, Jet and Postnet stores at R40 for adults and R15 for children under the age of 12. Alternatively, fans can purchase tickets on www.ticketpro.co.za.

“We are delighted that the Telkom Knockout will be hosted in Durban, where we’ve had many memorable finals over the years. We as Telkom are even more excited that we can take the game to the people in KwaMashu at the Princess Magogo Stadium because there’s so much to look forward to. It’s also one last opportunity for the fans to experience the joy of 0% heartbreak and 100% winnings. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss.”
