Blue Ribbon Soweto Kota festival taking place this Saturday is not only for sumptuous, mouth-watering, delicious and opulent Kota menus only.
This momentous event will also be a grand platform for upcoming Blue chip companies and SME’S to showcase their brands, products and to market themselves in the Mzansi economic saturated and competitive market.
While others have joined the festival to contribute in the township economy.
This publication spoke to almost half a dozen of them and they gave Kota festival a big thumbs up and thanked the organisers for this business centric initiative .
This what they said.
Thabo Ndlovu of Super Store a very promising and busy retail shop in Soweto said,
“Been in business for more 20 years in the township.
“We are a family store and our mandate is to uplift communities hence we are part of this epic event.”
Boikano Sikwane of Chuck and Chili, said, “We are hoping to market and introduce our brand to the people of Soweto.”
Malebo Matlala, Manufacture of popular drink Ghemere said, “We are hoping to establish collaboration with other brands for future business ventures. We have taken into cognisance that our brand has a huge clientele in the black market especially in Soweto.”
Karabo Yumba of Tzaneen Mangoes hinted that as Archaar distributors they are hoping to partner up with other vendors at the festival especially those selling products similar to theirs.
Jeff Mukheli, Score Energy drink Sales Manager, said, “We are hoping to interact with lots of consumers and explain to them our range of products. Lately we have drinks targeted to all ages unlike the energy drink that has an age restriction. We are in a mission to do a lot of Public Relations during the festival’s busy day.”
With tongue in cheek, Mukheli also pointed the event is an ideal place to be because some people might feel drunk with fatique and sleepy after munching a Kota and a quench of an icy Score energy drink can cure that.”
