DIKWENA MEAN BUSINESS – MAZINGISA

After signing Zambian international Brian Mwila on Tuesday, Platinum Stars general manager Senzo Mazingiza revealed that the club almost home and dry in terms of signings for the upcoming season.

“We are building a team. The puzzle is coming together very nicely. We set ourselves to get certain players and I can say that 90% is done already so it’s up to the coach and his technical team to create a system and a strategy because the personnel is there. It’s our way to say we support the coach and to say as Platinum Stars we are serious about our business. We are just looking forward to a better season ahead,” Mazingiza tells Platinumstars.com.

Mazingiza was in Zambia on Tuesday to land Mwila\’s signature. Dikwena managed to sign Mwila on a three year deal. The 24-year-old marksman was on the books on Zambian giants Baffaloes FC. Mazingiza expressed delight at having signed Mwila, who recently led Zambia’s attack against Bafana Bafana and was their main striker during the Cosafa Cup.

“This is a very good signing for us. We have always wanted to sign a striker so we are excited to have him at the club. There were other clubs that were after him but I think we moved faster. He was always interested in joining us because of the brand. He will add value to our club,” said Mazingiza.

Mwila will bring much needed depth and completion in Peter Butler’s side. Mwila will compete for a place with the likes of Benson Shilongo, Katlego Khunou, Maboke Matlakala and Thobani Kunene among others.

Mwila is the latest to join Dikwena. During the current window the club has signed the likes of Lehlogonolo Masalesa, Sibusiso Mthethwa, Maboke Matlakala, Luvolwethu Mpeta and Enocent Mkhabela.
