The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements (GDHS) MEC, Tasneem Motara conducted various site visits in Sedibeng Region on Tuesday, 04 February 2025.
The site visits were meant to monitor and inspect project progress set by the department and various stakeholders. The visit consists of areas in Midvaal Sicelo Shiceka and Emfuleni Sebokeng Ext. 30, Sebokeng Ext. 28.
MEC for Human Settlements Tasneem Motara was accompanied by various government officials, project managers, site managers, contractors, and regional managers to discuss challenges and progress on various sites.
MEC Motara said: “The developments we have witnessed today underlines our commitment to delivering housing solutions efficiently. I am confident that the housing delivery for the next financial year will be completed within the allocated timeframes.
“The importance of these initiatives reflects the Department’s dedication to improving living conditions and fostering sustainable communities across the region.”
The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements is set to complete the housing projects in Sicelo Shiceka, Sebokeng Ext. 30, and Sebokeng Ext. 28 within the set timelines and budget allocations to appointed contractors at various sites.
