ADIDAS LAUNCHES ALL-NEW F50 MESSI ‘LA VIDA RAPIDA’

Today, adidas launches the new F50 Messi ‘La Vida Rapida’ which will be worn on pitch exclusively by Leo and 10 of the World’s top young players.

The boot offers a fresh twist on last year’s F50 ‘Triunfo Estelar’ with some visual design updates such as the inclusion of a ‘Messi + 10’ sign-off in homage to the 10 young ballers who will also lace up in the new F50, including: Lamine Yamal, Claudio Echeverri, Jaedyn Shaw, Antonio Nusa, Joel Ndala, Cavan Sullivan, Vicky Lopez, Kenan Yildiz, Assan Ouedraogo, and Eliesse Ben Seghir.

Another update includes jagged haptic lines across the upper – versus the smooth lines seen on previous models – as a nod to the explosive speed associated with F50 players.  The boot also features the iconic ‘Messi’ logo on the heel counter and drops in a striking blue, silver and neon yellow colourway. It includes the latest F50 technology, such as:

  • Sprintframe 360 – a specifically designed soleplate built to provide optimised stability and traction and help facilitate multidirectional speed and acceleration.
  • Hybridtouch Upper – a synthetic, lightweight material – that offers a moulded fit to provide comfort at high speeds, where it is needed most. 
  • Burrito Tongue closure system – The closure of the ‘burrito’ style tongue is adapted to Leo’s preferred fit and has been engineered with knit material for maximum comfort.

Leo Messi said“Developing my latest boot with adidas has been another incredible experience and I can’t wait to wear them on-pitch. I am also very grateful that all these young talents like the boots and want to wear them, and I’m excited to see how they perform.” 

The boot will be worn on pitch for the first time by Leo on February 14th and is available to purchase from today via https://www.adidas.co.za/lionel_messi and select adidas stores and retailers.
