Adidas recently revealed the latest addition to its limited collection roster – ‘Predator Moments’ pack. Launching in the classic Predator DNA colourway of black, white and red, the boot features original Predator branding alongside subtle nods to some of the greatest on-pitch Predator moments.
The original Predator logo adorns the side of the boot, while the famous ‘100% legal, 0% fair’ tagline features on the sole. Underneath the classic red tongue includes tributes to iconic goals from the careers of David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane. The right boot features a 93’ timestamp and infamous “raised the roof here with a goal” commentary of Beckham’s free-kick to send his nation to the FIFA World Cup, while the right boot includes a 45’ timestamp and ‘GOL GOL GOL’ commentary from Zidane’s infamous goal for Real Madrid in the 2002 UEFA Champions League final.
David Beckham said: “I have a very special 30-year history with Predator. Every goal, every cross, every game that I played, I wore Predator boots. It doesn’t matter whether it’s the first, the last, the most difficult or the easiest goal – they all mean something to me. It’s incredible to see this new Predator celebrate one of my most important goals.”
Zinedine Zidane, said: “I really do believe that Predators played a part in scoring that goal. I wore them all through my career and they helped me score that goal; it was a partnership. They chose me, but I’m the one who wore them. I did some amazing things in them. I feel very lucky to have worn this boot for so many years.”
Predator Moments arrives in the latest Predator 25 model, which includes an upgraded STRIKESKIN, re-engineered to enhance grip between boot and ball, via higher quantities of – and longer – rubber elements on the strike zone of the boot. For an improved fit and feel HYBRIDTOUCH 2.0 is again applied across the upper of the boot, but with less layers to reduce break-in time, and provide a more moulded fit, while also providing additional cushioning in key areas for comfort and a soft touch on the ball.
