B3 chairman continues to cater for the vulnerable in the East Rand

Giving heart. B3 chairman Matthews Mogafe, has been supporting the KwaThema Stimulation Center in the East Rand for 14 years’.

Beneficiaries are the Kwa-Thema Stimulation Centre, that caters for the disabled and vulnerable children in the East Rand-Ekurhuleni, since 2003.

The purpose of the event is not only for the business to interact and collaborate with various stakeholders, but it’s to contribute to growth and development of the Kwa-Thema Stimulation Centre.

However, the funds raised at the event will be used to support the day-to-day runnings of the facility and supplying transportation vehicles for the children.

According to B3 (Batho Bantsho Ba Kopane) chairman Matthews Mogafe, there are bittersweet stories to all this.

“Proceeds from the Golf event since 2003 have resulted in the building of extra classroom and a kitchen towards the Kwa-Thema Stimulation Centre which was completed in 2016,” he says.

Unfortunately, 2 minibuses that were acquired are in need of repair or replacement, as a result it hampers their daily programme.

But another good story to tell is that, as B3 company they’ve managed to acquire land, build a permanent structure, acquisition of stimulating equipment and offering free funeral cover to all learners.

Legend has it that if you carry out CSI projects were you operate your business, you build a strong bond with community members and for Mogafe and his associates this augurs well for business.

With tough economical challenges facing the country, has other companies or organizations heeded your call to partner with B3 in the Golf project, Mogafe without a blink retorted a big YES.

“Thankfully, through our network of business we’ve managed to partner with multiple reputable companies in an effort to help our needy. It’s no longer a partnership but a bond created amongst us,” he quipped.

As chairman of one of the fastest growing Insurance Brokers in SA, what makes you sleep at night, he said unflinchingly “knowing that I have made a difference in somebody’s life”.

The Kwa-Thema Stimulation Centre caters for 75 disabled children and by the end of October 23, the two busses that need repair would have been in proper and good condition to carry out its duties. –SOWETOLIFEMAG WEBSITE.
