Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ) will host its much-anticipated Mother’s Day Concert on Sunday, 10 May 2026, from 09:00 to 16:00 at the Johannesburg Zoo. This popular annual event returns with an expanded programme and is expected to attract around 10,000 attendees.
Presented in partnership with Joburg Theatre, the concert celebrates mothers, caregivers and families with a full day of entertainment and outdoor relaxation. The programme includes live performances by local artists, guided heritage and Big 5 tours, a vibrant kiddies’ play area, and a variety of food and craft stalls. A dedicated hospitality programme will also cater for senior citizens from selected regions across the city.
Mother’s Day offers an opportunity to honour the women who nurture families and strengthen communities. Through this collaboration, Joburg Theatre continues to extend the arts beyond traditional spaces, bringing live performances into a family-friendly environment where music, nature and community come together.
The event also reflects JCPZ’s commitment to conservation, inclusivity and accessible recreation. Visitors can enjoy interactive learning experiences in a safe and well-managed setting suitable for all ages.
Tickets are available via Webtickets at R150 for adults and R80 for children aged 3–12 and senior citizens. Tickets will also be sold at the gate.
Residents are encouraged to book early and join this special celebration of motherhood and togetherness in the heart of Johannesburg.
