30 July 2017 – The South African U17 Men’s National Team (Amajimbos) will take on Malawi in the 3rd/4th place play off this afternoon, in the 2017 COSAFA U-17 Championships, out in Mauritius.

This match will be played at midday local time (SA time 10am) ahead of the 3pm final between tournament hosts Mauritius and Zambia.

Amajimbos Head Coach has made two changes ahead of the encounter and believes that the players will have to dig deep to walk away with the bronze medal.

“The players are disappointed in losing out on the final but that is now a thing of the past. They will have to play for pride tomorrow and remember that they set the objective of a medal for themselves;” said Ntseki.

Goalkeeper Constandin Christodoulou will earn his fifth international cap, while Bryn Deeley will earn his second full cap at left back. Tshegofatso Mathibe returns to the starting line up ahead of Sizwe Ntanzi at right back.
