VOSLOORUS TO HOST DISKI SHIELD ‘DERBY’ FESTIVAL

Vosloorus residents and surrounding areas have once again been rewarded for their support of the ‘Diski’. This coming weekend, MultiChoice Diski Shield Festival will make its second stop on Saturday and Sunday.

Vosloorus will host the ‘Derby’ themed Festival on both days: Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April 2018.

The first match will kick-off at 10:00 and the second match at 12:00. This Festival is the last stages of the competition round, the club finishing at the top of each of the four (4) groups will proceed to the semifinals for the knock-out phase.

The Premier Soccer League together with partners MultiChoice encourages supporters and community members to once again come in numbers to watch the ‘Derby Festival’, as participating clubs play for their community. The winning team prize will go to a football development initiative they chose to play for.

This highly- anticipated ‘derby festival’ will feature four derbies: Free State Derby (Bloemfontein Celtic vs Free State Stars), Tshwane Derby (SuperSport United vs Mamelodi Sundowns), KZN Derby (Lamontville Golden Arrows vs AmaZulu FC), and the Soweto Derby (Kaizer Chiefs vs Orlando Pirates).

Entry is free on both days and ticket can be collected at the stadium from Thursday and Friday, 19 – 20 April 2018 from 13h00.

Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars will kick-off proceedings on Saturday morning at 10h00. The fixture will be followed by the Tshwane derby between SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns at 12h00.

On Sunday Lamontville Golden Arrows will lock horns with AmaZulu FC in the KZN Derby at 10h00, then at 12h00 Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates renew Soweto rivalry.

All four matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport 4 and 10.
