YOUNG START-UPS TO BENEFIT FROM DIGITAL HUB

 

The Innovation Hub- an innovation agency of the Gauteng Province in collaboration with Wits University cordially invites you to join MEC for the Gauteng Department of Economic Development, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Lebogang Maile and MEC for Gauteng Finance and e-Government Department Ms Barbara Creecy as they officially launch Maxum Digital facility at the Tshimologong Precinct in Braamfontein on Friday, 19 May 2017.

 

Maxum Digital Incubator was operationalized in 2016 and is specifically located in Braamfontein- an inner-city area which is today re-emerging as a vibrant Johannesburg district. Its objective is to foster entrepreneurship, identify and support developers and the creative community within the gaming, animation and virtual reality platforms in the Gauteng Province. To date the programme has managed to recruit and incubate 15 start- ups predominantly composed of youth and women. Maxum Digital provides technical and business incubation support to start-ups that endeavour to solve customer needs or societal challenges through gaming, animation and virtual reality, and facilitate innovative digital projects by attracting firms who will provide entrepreneurs with practical exposure and opportunities in the market.
