Driving or walking around the Jozi CBD streets can sometimes lead you to a wrong destination, reason being that some street names are miswritten.
This is despite living in the digital age where a spell-check can be done online in any gadget that has connection to global computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities.

A case in point is the ever busy inner-city street name tagged after John Spranger Harrison, a prospector and member of the first Diggers’ Committee.
At the intersection of Main and Harrison, the latter is vividly wrongly spelt on the pavement whereas other diagonal opposite pavements have the correct spelling.
At the time of going to print, Johannesburg Roads Agency was yet to comment.

Did you know?
A Street or road name is an identifying name given to a street.
The street name usually forms part of the address.
Buildings are often given numbers along the street to further help identify them.
