Coach Miguel Cardoso’s charges take on KwaZulu-Natal side, Amazulu FC, on Tuesday afternoon at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, looking to finish the year strong with two more games.

With a rare blank weekend, having played their last game last week Wednesday, they have been afforded enough time to prepare for this match.

Speaking to midfield maestro Sphelele Mkhulise, he stated the Brazilians are looking forward to what he thinks will be a tough encounter.

“We are playing a difficult game because Amazulu are looking for points just like we do. The mere fact that they will be playing at home will make them put up a fight because they’ll be looking to make their supporters happy on home soil. They are not an easy team to beat, especially because they have outstanding players. They have been playing well, but they have not always been able to get the desired results. So, I expect a very difficult encounter. They also have new players that I’m certain will add value to the squad, should they be included in the squad. We need to head to this game aware, being ready for anything they give us,” he said.

Usuthu is currently 13th on the log, just a position shy from the relegation zone. While they will be fighting to rapidly move away from the danger area, Bafana Ba Style will be looking to put up a fight to ensure they maintain their position on the summit of the table.

Mkhulise concluded by urging the supporters to come and support the Brazilians in Durban. He further promised to make them happy by snatching maximum points, saying: “I know most people are in Durban for vacation, so I would like to invite them to come and support us, and we will ensure that we make them happy and get them the three points in this festive season.”

Mamelodi Sundowns will do battle with Amazulu FC on Tuesday afternoon at the Moses Mabhida. Kick-off is scheduled for 15H00, live on SuperSport TV.
