South Africa are one of the eight countries that will participate in the COSAFA Beach Soccer tournament to be held in Durban from 17-23 March 2024.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) appointed Fani Shange as head coach of the South African team, Beach Bafana, and he will be at the helm during the regional tournament. The coach has urged fans to come out in numbers to support the team.
Shange has announced a 14-member team ahead of Beach Bafana’s opening match against Malawi on 17 March 2024. The match will take place at the South Beach Arena at 12h00. South Africa is in Group A alongside Malawi, Saudi Arabia and Seychelles.
Beach Bafana will play their second match against Seychelles on 18 March 2024 (12h00) and conclude their group matches against Saudi Arabia on 20 March 2024 (14h30).
COSAFA announced a few days ago that tickets for the festival on the sand will be available on a first come, first served basis to fans who were able to collect their free tickets from yesterday afternoon (Friday, 15 March 2024).
Those wishing to catch the action should look out for the COSAFA gazebo at the South Beach Arena. Once all the FREE tickets have been distributed for a particular day, no further entry will be allowed.
