Miss South Africa 2018 Eastern Cape regional auditions

 

 

The Miss South Africa 2018 roadshow comes to the Eastern Cape this weekend with the regional auditions taking place at The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World in Port Elizabeth.

 

The 60th Miss South Africa 2018 will be crowned on May 27 at the pageant’s diamond jubilee to be held at Sun International’s new flagship Time Square Sun Arena in Pretoria. The winner will take the crown and more than R2-million in prizes.

 

The Port Elizabeth regional competition adjudication will take place on Sunday (March 4) from 10h00 with pageant judges Bokang Montjane (Miss South Africa 2010), Gareth Flusk (Sun International and the Miss SA Organisation), radio presenter Anele Mdoda and Suzette van der Merwe (Managing Executive Cell C and Miss South Africa, 1990).

 

Registration for those wishing to enter Miss South Africa 2018 is open on the Miss South Africa website www.misssa.co.za.

 

Contestants will present themselves to the judges and participate in two rounds of judging. After every regional audition, a shortlist of regional qualifiers will be announced. The judges will deliberate during the week of April 16 and the top 12 finalists will be selected from the pool of regional qualifiers and will be announced on May 3.

 

The Eastern Cape auditions follow on from last weekend’s KZN roadshow where four regional qualifiers were announced. They are Karishma Ramdev (23) of Chatsworth who is a fifth-year medical student at the University of Pretoria; Leah Prinsloo (22) of Morningside who is a qualified graphic designer; Noxolo Ndebele (24) of Pinetown who did her B. Comm Acc degree at the University of Zululand and currently works at IDT as a project financial controller and Avania Reddy (25) of Westville who is a qualified mechanical engineer.

 

The regional auditions continue at Cape Town’s Grand West Casino and Entertainment World, Sun Park from Friday, March 16, to Sunday, March 18 and wrap up at Carnival City Sun Park in Johannesburg from Friday, April 13, to Sunday, April 15.
