eBucks wins two awards at the South African Loyalty Awards

Best Programme of the Year and Most Innovative Use of Technology for Loyalty Award

FNB’s eBucks Rewards programme has been awarded the Best Programme of the Year 2020 (financial services) and the Most Innovative Use of Technology for Loyalty award at the South African Loyalty Awards ceremony held virtually on 18 November 2020.

The South African Loyalty Awards, introduced by Truth, a leading loyalty and CRM consultancy in South Africa, celebrates loyalty excellence and innovation in the country.

“We are extremely humbled and honoured to receive the Best Programme of the Year (financial services) award and the Most Innovative Use of Technology for Loyalty award for the second year in a row. This once again validates FNB’s commitment to provide customers with consistent value and offer rewards that make a real difference in their lives. The recognition encourages us to continue building an ecosystem that enables better money management, especially during these tough economic times,” says Johan Moolman, eBucks Rewards CEO.

The SA Loyalty Awards introduced 8 new categories this year. In total, there were 15 categories and several competing entrants who were evaluated through a robust judging process led by a well-established panel of loyalty and CRM professionals in the industry.

eBucks Rewards celebrates 20 years of rewarding customers this year. Moolman says the programme has been refined over the years to ensure members maximise the value they get. “We constantly look for ways to make it easy for our members to earn or spend eBucks by providing tips, tools, benefits and relevant partners to the programme. Recently, we introduced Smart Spend, which allows our members to earn additional eBucks on their qualifying FNB and RMB Private Bank cards. The additional eBucks are paid out within 2-3 business days, helping them stretch their Rands even further during these tough times.”

Other innovations recently launched on the FNB/RMB Private Banking App include Track my Re-wards, a tool which allows eBucks members to track their current banking behaviour daily and easily perform the necessary banking behaviours so they can move up a reward level and earn more eBucks for the upcoming month.
