The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is deeply saddened by the loss of the legendary photographer, Dr. Peter Magubane.

“Dr. Magubane, of the same generation as Alf Khumalo and Moffat Zungu, possessed distinctive attributes, notably his extensive collection of Ndebele artifacts, showcasing his multifaceted capabilities. While predominantly focusing on a diverse array of societal subjects through his photography, he also dedicated time to cover football whenever the opportunity arose. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family for the loss of this great giant,” remarked PSL Chairman, Dr. Irvin Khoza.

In recognition of Dr. Magubane’s substantial contributions, a moment of silence will be observed at this weekend’s Carling Cup match.

May his soul repose peacefully.
